The Mangina Pussy Pass™ -Why the Mangina is an Enemy of Real Women Everywhere

Manginas think that women should be put first in society. And in their quest to appear noble and fair they give women a free pass to do whatever they want in society with no accountability.

The main reason Manginas give these women a Pussy Pass™ for their bad behavior isn’t to nobly support women’s rights. No, their main reason for giving women a Pussy Pass™ is to get free and easy access to pussy. Manginas think that by being the White Knight™ and saving Damsels in Distress™ that he’ll be giving the reward of sticking his long hard lance in her soft wet space.

Now the Pussy Pass™ system isn't an express written contract. No, like all contracts with Manginas it’s implied. Because the Mangina grew up with a Single Mom, he believed that women were to be put on pedestals and worshipped like goddesses and queens. And thanks to his experiences with his Single Mom, he came to the assumption that the best way to win the heart of a woman was through a series of good deeds.

Under the Mangina Pussy Pass™ system, men can earn Pussy Points™ for doing good deeds at home, at school, and on the job. Now these points can only be redeemed with young, hot sexy women; helping old ladies across the street will get a Mangina no points at all. That pussy is old and dried out. Most Maginas want to maximize the value of their Pussy Points ™ by using them on young, hot sexy women.  That's going to get them the cool points with the cool people they want to impress.

How does a Mangina earn his pussy points? Simple. Supporting a woman in a political argument with someone else will get him ten points. Stopping a guy from fighting with her will get him twenty-five points. Beating that guy up will get him fifty points. Walking her home at night will get him a hundred points. Driving her to and from a place will get him a two hundred points both ways. Listening to her vent about her bad boyfriend will get him five hundred points. Admonishing a male employee for a comment a woman believes is sexist or a racy joke is a thousand points. Disciplining an employee for posting a picture a woman thinks is racy is a two thousand points. And terminating a male employee women co-workers don’t like is a hundred thousand points. An extra fifty thousand if he’s a male chauvinist bastard.

How many Pussy Points™ does a man need to get some pussy? No one knows.

But Manginas save up Pussy Points™ in their head like green stamps. They think that by agreeing with a woman, and going out of their way to do good deeds for them, that they’ll win enough praise to cash in exchange for sex or sexual favors. Some even believe they can take their Pussy Points™ from one woman and cash them in with another.

Only it’s a contract most women never agreed to.

And that’s why the Mangina is always disappointed when it comes to his encounters with women.

Here’s the deal: Doing good deeds for a woman or taking her side in an argument doesn’t guarantee a man access to the goodies between her legs. No man is entitled to sex for doing something for a woman.

If he was, then all relationships would be prostitution.

When it comes to sex, there are a dozen reasons a woman wants to fuck a guy. She may like his look, she may like his personality. She may like his sense of humor. She may just like the way his penis feels inside her. She just may want to get a nut off. Others may feel his vibe. Usually most women know within five seconds of looking at a guy if they want to go to bed with him, and no amount of good deeds he does will guarantee him sticking his wee wee in her coochie.

So all those Pussy Points™ a Mangina is saving up with women aren’t worth anything when it comes to women.

Unfortunately, the Mangina doesn’t understand this. He thinks that by supporting women in the most outrageous behavior that he looks like he’s enlightened. That he appears to be understanding. That he’s accepting and tolerant of others.

And as a wonderful, sensitive guy the Mangina feels he’s entitled to first dibs on the pussy of the women he befriends and supports. After all, he's done so many good deeds for her, shouldn’t she express her gratitude to him by allowing him to redeem his Pussy Points™ and providing him with some Pussy?

Ladies, Manginas who give you a Pussy Pass™ and let you get away with your bad behavior aren’t acting in your best interests. They’re acting in their own. They hope that by enabling your irresponsible behavior, they can participate in their own in the future. In the fine print of that Pussy Pass™ is a clause for the Mangina to get an exclusive Penis Pass™ and first dibs on your panties.

There’s always an unwritten quid-pro-quo contract when dealing with Manginas, and most women don’t know they’re entering into it by just paying attention to these losers. Tell these assholes to take their Pussy Pass ™ turn it sideways and shove them straight up their candy asses. It’s better for a woman to take responsibility for her actions than be coddled by a coward who hides behind her skirt.

SIMPS AT WORK

Don’t shit where you eat.

That’s the general rule Real Men have when going into the workplace. It’s a boundary that keeps a man’s job secure and his income solid enough for him to pay his bills and have his fun.

But the Simp….Doesn’t understand why we Real Men put that imaginary line in the sand.

Thanks to the single-mother households these guys come from, Simps don’t understand things like establishing boundaries. So they wind up crossing invisible lines that wind up complicating their lives and derailing their careers.

For a Real Man, work is something he does to make his living. A place where he hones his skills and develops new ones. A place where he takes care of business and makes his money.

But for a Simp, work is an end to a means. He’s not interested in learning skills or developing new ones. He’s just interested in getting paid.

Getting paid so he can show off his expensive toys. Simps in the workplace are notorious consumer whores.
Simps at work are easily identifiable by the clothes they wear and the trinkets they carry. These guys are working in the mailroom or in low-level retail jobs dressed in Armani suits. They’re the guys with an Escalade in the parking lot, a cell phone with all the bells and whistles and making $10.00 an hour at Starbucks. They’re the guys working in entry level jobs making $30,000 a year and living like millionaires.

The kinds of guys who can get a business owner into a lot of trouble.

If you’re a business owner, you definitely want to look out for a Simp at work. Because they can cost you money. Simps in the workplace are also notorious pussy hounds.

Thanks to Simps not knowing what a boundary is, they often cross the line at the workplace with women they work with. While most Real men know that women in the workplace are off limits, the Simp crosses that line and asks those women out.

And because a lot of them don’t take no for an answer, they persist.

Not understanding that their unwanted advances constitute as Sexual Harassment.

Now a smart employer will nip a Simp in the bud. But since these guys don’t understand boundaries, they can find their way around a weak Mangina supervisor and wind up pursuing a relationship with a predatory female in the workplace.

And there are many predatory females in the lower level positions of a business like those administrative assistants, sales reps, customer service reps, and the woman answering the phones at reception.

Many of the females working these types of jobs, especially in large corporations are looking for a nice fat payday from a Sexual harassment lawsuit. And waiting for the Simp stupid enough to bring his weak game to the workplace.

When Simps have relationships with female co-workers their mixing of business of business and pleasure often winds up turning into a disaster.

At work this crossing of lines can lead to complications when it comes to doing business. Workplace productivity can slow to a crawl in a business where a Simp is pursuing relationships with co-workers. When a receptionist has an issue with a co-worker, important calls can wind up being lost.

When an administrative assistant is having a lover’s tiff with a Simp, files can get misplaced.

When a co-worker from another department is having an disagreement with a Simp, there’s next to no communication between departments. Things just can’t get done due to little feuds between a Simp and the females he’s involved with at work.

And when a Simp has a relationship with a female supervisor things can get really complicated. If she asks him to do something personal and he can’t do it, she can make his life miserable at work by piling up the work or giving him impossible tasks.

Usually when a Simp applies his weak macking game to the workplace, he doesn’t have a job for long. Thanks to him crossing these imaginary lines and mixing business with pleasure, most winds up either being brought up on sexual harassment charges or terminated due to his bad behavior. Others wind up being forced to resign to save face and to save their careers.

A few wind up getting beat down for stealing diabetic ham sandwiches and Lean Cusine out of the refrigerator.

A handful wind up having to pay child support thanks to the affairs they have with co-workers.

In quite a few cases Mr. Simp’s relationships can wind up leading to some workplace violence. Many Simps who gets involved with a co-worker can wind up with their cars keyed, tires punctured, and bricks thrown through their windows when the relationship goes sour. Others wind up with personal property on their desks and in their lockers damaged, destroyed or stolen.

And in extreme cases the complications from a Simp’s workplace romaces can lead to extreme workplace violence. It’s not common for a married woman who gets involved with a Simp to send her boyfriend to beat him down when she can’t get her way. And it’s not common for a Simp who gets involved with a boss’ wife can wind up catching a beatdown from her husband.

And when things really get crazy, these affairs can lead to workplace shootings, and mass murders.
Long-term having a Simp in a workplace doesn’t just cost a workplace money in sexual harassment lawsuits, but its reputation. By crossing so many professional boundaries Simps make a company look unprofessional. When Simp employees are allowed to violate professional protocol, they start thinking they can cross lines in other areas of a business.

To pay for his dates, a Simp will misappropriate business funds. To pay for his gifts he’ll move business funds into personal accounts. Or make up a series of strange business expenses to cover his romantic getaways with co-workers. When this kind of fraud and embezzlement is revealed it can put a business straight out of business.

So it’s in an employer’s best interest to Stop Simpin in the workplace.

There’s a reason Real Men don’t mix business with pleasure. The numerous complications coming from mingling work and play can lead to a man losing his job his business, his career and in some cases his life. Smart men establish boundaries in their workplace with women and never cross them.

Thoughts on Artis Hughes-RTA Bus Driver Who Lost His Job Uppercutting a Ratchet Hood Rat

I’d meant to write about Artis Hughes, the Cleveland bus driver who uppercutted passenger Shadia Lane a few weeks ago. But I wanted to get to get some facts straight before I commented on the incident.

A couple of weeks ago, 25-year-old Shadia Lane got on the bus and walked by the fare box without putting in a fare. When bus driver 55-year old Artis Hughes requested she pay her fare, she first stated that she didn’t have the fare, but after arguing with Hughes she put her change in the box. She then continued to verbally abuse Hughes as he drove down his route threatening to harm him. With no cell phone and no way to contact police, he continued to drive along the route until the verbal threats(assault) turned physical (battery) when Ms. Lane spit on Hughes and began hitting him. It was then that Hughes stopped the bus and engaged her with the uppercut that was seen on numerous online social media sites like YouTube and World Star Hip Hop.

Somewhere in Heaven Rosa Parks is looking down and facepalming. She got arrested fighting for Black People to act like this when they get the freedom to ride in the front of the bus?

The RTA’s response to Artis Hughes defending himself was to suspend him and then terminate him. It was the biggest act of cowardice I’ve ever seen by a municipal transit organization. But par for the course when dealing with the Manginas in American management. Out of fear of reprisal from the public, they abandon employees when they’re down.

And they enable the bad behavior of patrons like Shadia Lane to continue unpunished.

Now in Cleveland it seems it seems it’s no crime for a bus driver to be attacked by an unruly patron. But here in New York City, assaulting a bus operator is a felony punishable with up to seven years in prison.
Had Shadia Lane tried that little stunt here in New York City she’d be in Rikers Island right now waiting trial. And’ I’d say it’d be the right place for her. I’ve read stories about drivers getting killed here or severely injured dealing with farebeaters like her.

And I’ve seen the danger first hand drivers encounter on my rides on the BX 15, BX 32 and the BX2 bus here in New York. I’ve seen patrons walk right by the farebox and not even drop lint into it. I’ve seen people taking drugs like marijuana and heroin on the bus. I’ve seen people get into heated arguments over things like air conditioning and heat on a bus. And I’ve seen family of women (Grandmother, Mother, and little baby daughter,) open the back door of the bus and get on without paying.

And even with the law on their side MTA Bus drivers here in New York City don’t engage them.

And now I understand why.

With Manginas in management enabling the bad behavior of these junior ratchets, they could lose their job, the pension and benefits they invested in the system like Artis Hughes just did.

But here’s the horrible truth: Shadia Lane could have easily been Eleanor Bumpers.

She just had to run into the right Civil Servant. One with a badge and a gun.

And instead of laughing at her irresponsible and disrespectful behavior on World Star Hip Hop the Black women praising and supporting her would be making calls to Al Sharpton demanding justice and organizing marches against the racist Cleveland Police Department.

Only to hear an all-White jury tell them he’s not guilty and cleared of all charges. And reinstated to his job with full pay and benefits a year later.

That’s what Eleanor Bumpurs family heard close to 30 years ago when a NYPD officer was acquitted of shooting her when she lunged at them with a knife when she thought her the apartment she was being evicted from was being broken into.

Because that ghetto ass spitting and hitting game Shadia Lane pulled on Artis Hughes would not stand against a member of Cleveland’s finest.

This girl would have two bullets in her back for “resisting arrest” and the shooting would be justified.

Now I’ve seen hoodrat chicks like Shadia Lane walking around here in New York City. And it’s clear to me they don’t understand how to behave. Talking loud on their cell phones and getting rowdy with just about anyone who looks their way, they have to use the bus because they can’t read the signs in the subway or the traffic signs to drive. Yes, they take the bus not because they’re poor but because they’re illiterate.
But what they don’t understand is that their ignorance is dangerous. Not understanding the unwritten rules of protocol in an institutionally racist society like The United States of America can get a Black woman killed if she crosses the wrong person the same way it got Eleanor Bumpers killed close to 30 years ago and how it got Emmit Till killed over 50 years ago.

Sadly I think it’ll take history repeating itself tragically for Black women to start realizing that the behavior of the Shadia Lanes has got to stop. That the bad attitude, belligerence and utter contempt for authority Black women like Shadia Lane put other brothers and sisters in danger.

I shudder to think if Artis Hughes got into an accident and passengers were injured or killed because of this young woman’s insolence. I’d rather she get an uppercut from an angry middle-aged man than watch video featuring people dying because he had to swerve out of the way of a tractor trailer and run into a house, off a median or into some other vehicle like a tractor trailer, or worse a car with a mom and kids or a school bus full of kids. I wonder if that kind of bloody carnage would be getting laughs from viewers on World Star Hip Hop the way that uppercut would have.

I really feel bad for Artis Hughes. Brotha was trying to do his job. And he shouldn’t have lost it because some ghetto ass single mom and some Simp ass dad didn’t do their jobs raising Shadia Lane.

To the weak ass Manginas at the RTA: if you’re reading this blog, have some balls and give Artis Hughes his job back. This man did what he had to do to contain an unruly passenger. He thought about the lives of all the other passengers riding that bus and their safety. That situation could have been much worse if that good man did nothing and allowed evil to win that day.

The Black Male’s Worst Enemy- A Guest Blog by Commencement Author Lawrence Cherry

If you ask anyone about what is the primary obstacle to the success of African-American males in American society the most ubiquitous response would be discrimination or institutionalized racism. Another popular response is to scapegoat African-American women. However, I have observed that the greatest threat to the success of the African-American male is another African-American male.

I have known of young black males who want nothing more than to go to school and get an education, but in an inner-city neighborhood it’s a dangerous affair. The African-American male student faces a lot of opposition from within their own neighborhood school, and I’m not just talking about teachers. If they make good grades, they have to make deals with the teachers to try to help them hide it from other students, even their so-called “friends”. They wear their pants sagging, not because they want to, but because they fear what will happen if they break from the trend set by the popular crowd and try to do something different. It’s dangerous to stand out, to appear intellectually curious and to have goals and ambitions. It’s called “acting white” or “being a sell-out.” Young black males who want an education have to be careful, not just because they are afraid of being bullied, but rather being killed by another black male. This is not hyperbole. It’s the truth.

Forget about those guys with the white sheets and fiery crosses. The boogey man of the Klu Klux Klan died a long time ago. In fact, most racially motivated murders of African-Americans are few and far between, however, intra-racial violence has exploded within our African-American community. It seems like almost everyday I hear about the death of a young black man at the hands of another young black man. Our young men killing each other over gang feuds and over drug wars. They are killing each other over looks and imaginary slights. They are killing each other in drug and alcohol-fueled rages; killing each other over status items and in domestic disputes. Older men are killing younger men and vice versa. Young men kill each other. Some men even act out violence against the precious little ones: their girlfriend’s child or even their own flesh-and blood. I would say 60% of the black men in jail are there because of what they have done to another black man.

Our black men are the ones perpetuating the violence through music and movies. Black men are spewing hate against other black men in the violent lyrics of rap songs. They openly advocate and endorse the murder of other Black men. These songs tell our young black boys “your life isn’t worth anything”, “you’re just another nigga”, “you’ll never be anything except a thug or a drug dealer” eroding the self-esteem of the youth. Black men are belittling Black men in the media by creating racist movies like “Soul Plane” and “Who’s Your Caddy” full of racist stereotypes comparable to blackface. Instead of banding together to support each other, black men tear each other down. The most recent (though not the worst) example of this was the public feuding between Spike Lee and Tyler Perry.

Black men are even a danger to themselves. One year, David Ushery worked on a series for the Channel 7 Eyewitness News about how successful African-American males were killing themselves in large numbers. This was the only station to report these findings. Our black men are committing suicide in alarming rates and it’s not being discussed widely in the media. There has even been a phenomena of brothers egging on police to shoot them which has been termed “death by cop.”

So what is causing African-American males to be so self-destructive. I would say to get a better understanding one should read Black Bourgeois by E. Franklin Frasier and The Miseducation of the Negro by Carter G. Woodson. After reading these we learn that the black on black violence is caused by nothing but self-hatred. Black men hate other black men. Why do Black men hate Black men? It’s simple: because it’s allowed.

The institutionalized discrimination in the form of nepotism and patronage serves to crush the psyche of African-American men. In America, the African-American occupies lowest rung of our caste-like society. We have the highest rates of unemployment, incarceration, high school drop-outs (actually, we’re second to Latinos in this area) health problems, out of wedlock births and just about everything else negative. Oppression makes black men frustrated and angry (as it would any people) and they need a conduit for that rage. The only target they are allowed are other Black men.

Think about it. When was the last time you heard of any gang members getting into it with some white guys eyeing them on the train? When was the last time you heard about some black kids crashing a white kid’s party and shooting up the place? Have you ever heard of a group of black kids beating up a white kid for his sneakers? All these young punks walking around, talking about how they’re stone cold ‘killas’, but pee in their pants when they’re in front of a white person. Why? Because they know without a shadow of a doubt if they so much as look at that white boy, the cops are going to put them in jail for a 100 years if they don’t kill them first. American society treats black crime and white crime differently. If someone reports a crime against a white person, it get an immediate response. If someone reports a crime against a black person, the cops will come when its convenient. Crimes against whites are given a thorough investigation. Crimes against blacks become cold cases rather quickly. Witnesses in crimes against whites are protected. Witnesses in crimes against blacks are often jeopardized by loose-lipped officers. So Black men turn their rage against other black men. It’s just easier.

Some would argue, that the problem goes back to American society. They posit that since American society doesn’t value African-Americans, African Americans don’t value themselves. Thus they infer that we have to wait until we earn the favor of American society before we can change things in our community. I beg to differ.  I believe the larger culture will not value us until we place value on ourselves. African-Americans, men in particular have known about the legacy of self-hate for sometime. People have been talking about it since the Harlem Renaissance, but we need to stop talking about it and DO something about it.

The first thing I think we need to do is to get rid of the “white” measuring stick that we black people use all the time.  Too many brothers worried about what the “white man” is doing. For example if I say to a young brother that maybe they should stop listening to the degrading lyrics of some of these rappers, they want to counter that white kids listen to rock music with degrading lyrics. You try to tell some of these brothers stop with the drug game, they want to tell you about the mafia and that “godfather” nonsense. They act as if since white people do destructive stuff, why can’t we? I say WHO CARES WHAT WHITE PEOPLE DO?!?!

And the funny thing is, these same people never want to copy any of the positive “white people”. They all want to be like some mafia personality, or some self-destructive, ignorant white celebrity or media big-mouth. Their whole thing is, “if the white man can do bad things and get away with it, then so should I!” I ask, ‘why would you want to do such awful things and get away with it?’ Do you really want to be a douchebag? Is it your life’s goal to be a despicable human being? Really? Really?

Then there are the others, the black males that want to impress white people. These are the “keeping up with the white man crowd”. If the white man has a big house, I have to have a big house. If the white man has six PhD’s, I’m gonna get six PhD’s. If the white man has a white wife, I have to have a white wife. If the white man has a red car, then I have to have a red car, too. They don’t’ achieve because they want to build a strong African-American legacy, they just want to be like a “white guy”. Again, I say to such a person WHO CARES WHAT WHITE PEOPLE HAVE?!?! Do you really think wannabees impress people? Do you really think wannabees get respect? Think that kid in high school who was just dying to be with the A-list clique. That kid that followed them everywhere, and tried to do everything they did, hoping that one day they would let him/her in. You know, the pathetic kid?  Secondly, what if you achieve all that so called “success” and they still won’t let you into the clubhouse, what will you do? Or what if you get into the clubhouse and you do something they don’t like and they revoke your “honorary white guy card”? According to David Ushery, they end up offing themselves or doing something really self-destructive (see O.J. Simpson). Overall, why work so hard to be another person’s puppet. Just doesn’t make sense.

My next gripe is with the brothers that get caught up in the game of one-upmanship. They’re constantly keeping tabs on what the white man is doing and what our culture is doing and are ‘running a race’ with white society. They have to prove that African-Americans are just as good as whites, at everything. They like to spend a lot of time arguing with prejudiced white people about all the wonderful things African-Americans have done and how we’re comparable to whites. By golly, they’re gonna convince ‘em. They’re gonna show ‘em.  I say ‘STOP ARGUING WITH THESE PEOPLE!’ News flash Black Men: You don’t have to prove anything to the white man! Who cares if they think they’re better! Just because someone from one culture thinks they’re better than someone from another doesn’t make it true! And I don’t care what they say! A lot of the things these racist and prejudice people always bring up to ‘prove’ African-Americans are inferior, are revisionist history (fairytales), and pseudo-science (superstitions from a mad-scientist lab) that aren’t even worth the efforts to refute them. Honestly, no matter what we do the racist and the prejudiced are going to piss on it. It’s a pointless waste of time to even engage them. The white people who are carrying these grudges and gripes are not doing so because they’re ignorant. A lot of the people who hold such beliefs are college educated and have degrees. People hold racist/prejudiced beliefs because it benefits their ego. When we are constantly try to prove stuff to them, all it does is affirm their erroneous notion that they are the ones who have the power to validate us. NOT SO!

The one-upmanship brothers are always beaming with pride when an African-American wins an Oscar, or an Emmy, or when Tiger Woods wins the Masters. They’re beside themselves when a black person gets into Harvard. They could care less who wins an Essence Award, or an NAACP Image Award. They don’t care who gets accepted to Howard, or Fisk, or Morehouse. After all, these are only the Black awards and Black institutions. Wake up black man! Our awards should mean more to us than any of the others. Our institutions should get our full unwavering support. Our validation needs to come from within our community and not without. I cringed when I heard that Halle Berry was screaming “The doors are finally open!” when she won her Oscar. I mean, really. The doors have been open for quite some time.  There have always been exceptional black actresses, Halle! I hate to go against my own rule and take out a white measuring stick, but just to prove a point: Do you think Taylor Swift is having sleepless nights because she hasn’t won a Soul Train award yet? If Taylor Swift won a Soul Train award, do you think she would be screaming “The doors are finally open! Whites really do have rhythm!” She probably wouldn’t bother showing up to accept it because WE don’t even take it seriously! Stop looking to the mainstream to affirm who you are! Mainstream American society will not affirm you because in doing so, it will have to condemn itself, and that’s something it’s not about to do.

Similar to the black men above are the ones (usually older) that are constantly like “Oh what will the white people think?” Don’t participate in that march against injustice, your employer will think you’re a radical. Don’t wear braids or dreadlocks, it makes “white people” uncomfortable. Don’t talk about the discrimination you see on your job, that’s using the “race card”. Economic independence! That’s a taboo topic, don’t say anything or the white CIA guys will get mad! They might kill you like they did Dr. King! I say WHO CARES WHAT WHITE PEOPLE THINK?!?! I mean seriously, some of us, every time we do something there’s the voice of some white guy in our heads that telling us what is and is not acceptable to ‘white people’. Stop listening to that voice!!!

Finally there are the people who have created a false dichotomy between white and black culture as follows:

Black White
ignorant educated
broken home/baby momma/daddy nuclear family
broke middle-class
slang,  cursing, limited vocab, poor English well spoken, proper English
loud quiet
dance well/sense of rhythm can’t dance/no rhythm
well endowed not so much
natural athletic prowess athletic prowess if they work at it
hustler/schemer/ lazy hardworking
toilet humor artistic, urbane humor

It’s funny because the most of the attributes that they have falsely given to white people is basically how you would describe a normal decent human being, meanwhile they see their own culture in such a demeaning light. So sad they think a normal African-American is a total douchebag. In reality there are a lot of educated blacks who come from a nuclear family that has some money, who speak proper English and then some. Michelle Obama is one of them. Her father was a good black man who got a job, got married, and raised a nuclear family, all in the appropriate order. Conversely there are a lot of ghetto white people who are on welfare and have broken homes and their kids sell drugs. Black males who adhere to the false dichotomy need to stop watching television and get out of the neighborhood and visit places like Chelsea, or Alphabet City or the projects over on 9th and 10th Avenues.

Once you’ve gotten rid of your white measuring stick here’s what you should do:

1. Get saved – The first step to us valuing ourselves as people is by understanding that our worth comes from the fact that we were made in the image of God. He is a God who thought it was worth it to humble himself, come down to earth, suffer the infirmity of flesh, the indignation of the cross, and even death to save us from sin. Yes, this includes black males (even though the churches are filled with black females- c’mon guys, represent!). You can’t ever get down on yourself once you realize this.  We need to be more preoccupied in how we appear before God and not “white society.” Yes, the white man seems to be in control but God IS in control. Don’t worry about what the white man can do for you. God can do a lot better. Don’t worry about what the white man can do to you. God can do a lot worse. Now I know some will say –No way that’s a “white man’s God”. If you do your research, you’ll find that God isn’t white and the majority of the people God worked through in the Bible were not white. They ranged the gamut of colors. In any case, the Bible doesn’t make many references to color cause it’s a non-issue. You know why? Cause if you love God, he’ll love you back no matter what color you are. In fact, He made you the color you are! You know why? Because he likes you that way! Don’t be bitter about God or the Bible because some men took liberties with the truth and lied (ahem - slave owners).

2. Read your Bible – Who ever said life didn’t come with instructions? Personally, if I were in charge of the world, every baby would leave the hospital with that little plastic bracelet and a Bible.  No really! It’s not all washed up. You’ll find a lot of things in it make perfect sense.  A popular misconception is that the Bible contains a lot of contradictions. I’ve read it from cover to cover and haven’t found any such thing! Trust me, it will change your life!

3. STOP WATCHING TV! – It’s all media non-sense. It’s supposed to make you feel less than so you will buy stuff to feel better. It’s also a brainwashing tool that is used to support the institutional discrimination that exists.  Yes, even the history and science channel (note they never discuss our history or our scientists).

4. Make a self-improvement plan – Stop saying ‘I can’t’. Try. Even if you fail, at least you tried. Make it a learning experience. Take a self-assessment think about what you need to change to become a better person. Stop blaming other people. As long as you focus on others you’ll never do anything for yourself. You can’t do anything about other people, but you can do something about you. What ever you decide to do stick with it even if it gets difficult. And if you’ve got a drug or alcohol habit (even if it’s a little one) please think of squashing it.

5. Make an effort to learn about your own culture and share it with others. They’re not teaching African-American history, literature, religion, music, art, etc. in the schools. Go to the library, bookstore, internet and learn about you. African-Americans have done a lot of great things, even when we were slaves. Then share it with the kids in you’re community – they need it. Trust me, I’m a teacher. They’re not teaching this in school!!!!

6. STAY OUT OF THE CLUB!!! – Have you ever heard of anything good happening there? Really? Really?

7. Get involved in your community – unemployed? There are a bunch of places where you can volunteer your time including the public schools (if ever there were a place in need to strong black males, this is the joint), the city parks department, assisted living communities, libraries, hospitals, the National Action Network – that’s right, you can watch the corners at night with Rev. Al – for real!

8. Help a brother out – find some other black male in your community and really bond with that guy. A real friendship. Mentor a young kid you know who’s mom is struggling and dad has checked out. Got a job? If you hear of an opening, try to hook a brother up. Who cares if the boss thinks you’re being political. If he can put his friend’s cousin in the job, why can’t you recommend your man from round the way? You know a brother thinking of checking out on his responsibilities as a family man, encourage him to do the right thing.

9. Stop it with the screwing contests - Better to have one good woman who has your back than 12 who don’t give a rat’s behind about anything except cash. I’ve never thought it was a point for boasting anyway. Think about it. I mean really think about it. You mean you’ve had all those women and you weren’t really feeling any of them. Hmmmm. (mental note: If he asks you if you want to work out with him at the gym sometime, say you’re busy)

10. Give our ladies their props – If you bash the black woman, you’re only hurting yourself. Your mother is a black woman, your sister is a black woman, and your daughter is a black woman. If you hate black women you hate yourself! Stop blaming the women for your own shortcomings. If you haven’t met a good black woman, it just might be your own fault. Some guys have bad taste in women and then blame the women. It’s like the kids who eat too much candy and then when they get a stomach ache, they blame the candy. I’ll address this more in my next blog entitled “You can’t catch salmon with sharkbait”

Shawn’s view on Fanfiction

A couple of months ago I did a few hypothetical proposals of what a run of Wonder Woman and Phoenix comics would look like if I took fingers to the keyboard for Marvel or DC.

Now I could just take the time to write those stories as fanfiction.

But that would be stupid.

Here’s the deal: I will never write a piece of fanfiction.

Why? I don’t own those properties. Time Warner, Disney or one of the subsidiaries of a big six corporation isn’t paying me to write stories featuring those characters.

And if a story doesn’t put dollars in my pocket then it doesn’t make sense for me to put my fingers to the keyboard to write it.

Fanfiction is just stupid. It’s just unauthorized stories about commercial properties owned by a corporate parent or another author. Work that can’t be submitted to a publisher. Stories that will sit on a hard drive, some blog, on some fanpage, and never generate a dime of revenue for me.

As a free-lance writer with multiple publishing credits and close to 20 years of writing experience, one of the main reasons I write stories is to get published. Because getting published is the only way a writer makes money.

And my time is valuable. It takes me a year or so to write the first draft of a novel like The Temptation of John Haynes. Six to eight months to write the first draft of a screenplay like All About Marilyn. A month to write a non-fiction book like Stop Simpin. I don’t have time to waste writing stories   I can’t sell.
As a free-lance writer, if no one is reading my work I’m not getting paid. Period.

And if I want to get paid, I need to write my own stories. Stories I own 100% of the rights to. Stories I can sell to readers and collect royalties on the sales. Stories I can turn into properties that I can sell and license to other businesses. Properties that I can possibly reap 100% of the profits from. That’s how a writer builds wealth in the publishing game.

If someone wants me to write books, eBooks or screenplays for their commercial properties they’re going to have to write me a check. 50 percent in advance and the rest a few months later when the project is completed. Those are my terms. And they do not change.

So Unless Scholastic is offering me money I’m not writing a Harry Potter story. Unless Paramount is offering me money I’m not writing that Star Trek story. Unless Time Warner is offering me money I’m not writing that Wonder Woman story. Unless Disney is offering me money I’m not writing that Phoenix story or that Gargoyles story. I’m not spending days out of my life writing stories that I won’t make a dime on.

While I understand the passion of many a fan, writing fanfiction to me is a waste of time. Sure you feel good writing the imagined further adventures of your favorite comic book, sci-fi, or fantasy characters, but it’s a waste of your valuable time to write stories about characters you don’t own and can’t get paid for.

And time is something you can’t get back. I wasted a good part of my childhood writing Mayor Fox stories not knowing Richard Scarry’s estate owned the rights to him. If I had to go back in time I’d be trying to learn a jump shot on the basketball court or learning how to talk to girls.

Instead of writing about other people’s properties I’d suggest that all those fanfiction writers start writing stories featuring their own characters. The best way to develop your skills as a writer is writing original stories featuring your own original characters. When you get ready to submit work to a publisher or self-publish it, you’ll have spent time building a portfolio of work that will help take your writing career to the next level.

The Pity Card™- The Ace in the Shy Guy’s Losing Hand

Some shy men play on a woman’s sympathy to get to her heart. They think if they act all timid and introverted playing the victim role they’ll get women to feel sorry for them.

It’s the ace in the shy guy’s hand.

And it’s another one of the reasons they lose in the dating game.

When women say they feel sorry for a man it’s pretty much GAME OVER.

What the shy guy doesn’t understand is that when women pity a man, they don’t respect him. And respect is paramount in having a relationship with a woman. Without respect a man is seen as weak. And weak men don’t have a strong enough self-confidence to maintain a relationship with a woman.

Men who aren’t respected lose face in front of a woman. And a man without a face is someone she doesn’t see as having importance in her life.

When a woman respects a man, she sees him as someone important. Someone special. Someone she values and appreciates above all other men but God. That’s someone she wants to spend time with. Someone she’s looking forward to spending time with. Someone she’ll make herself available for all the time.

But if she pities a man she sees him as someone she tolerates. Someone she has to be with out of duty. Someone she has to spend time with. He becomes someone she has to take care of. Someone she has to teach. Instead of being seen as an equal partner, she sees a man in a child-like role. Someone she has to patronize and talk down to.

He’s not someone she’s looking forward to being around or making herself available for.

A relationship with a man a woman pities usually becomes a chore. Usually she bides her time waiting for a payoff, to see if he’ll actualize that potential and promise she knows he has deep down inside himself.
It’s usually a payoff that usually never comes.

Long-term that pity often turns to frustration and that frustration turns to resentment. And that resentment winds up getting expressed in passive-aggressive ways such as sighs, rolled eyes, cold looks, and defensive body language like folded arms and crossed legs as she waits for the shy guy to grow some balls and stand up for himself.

As the frustration reaches a climax with a woman she eventually does things to end the relationship. Usually when a woman pities a man she winds up dumping him or cheating on him. When women end a relationship with a shy guy they pity they oftentimes release their pent-up frustration in an explosion of anger. They’ll beat him up, call him names, and curse him out.

For some women it’s almost like a cleansing as they get all those angry feelings they held inside themselves out of their systems. Because most go on and have a very happy healthy relationship with someone else after ripping that shy guy a new one.

Some shy guys play this pity card because they’re scared of women. Because they’re desperate. Because they’re scared of rejection.

But trust me brothers, it’s just not worth it. Face those fears and become better men.

It’s better for a man to endure the pains of hearing no and over again from a hundred women than to be involved with one who feels sorry for him. By building up a resolve and character a man will earn the respect of women in the circles he travels.

Sure pity may get a shy guy a little pussy in the short-term, but it’s not great pussy. Women don’t enjoy pity sex. Like doing the dishes, or cooking dinner, or picking up the dry cleaning, it’s just another chore she does to get through the relationship. She’s doing Sudoku puzzles and going over grocery lists in her head. And when the Shy guy is done busting that nut two minutes later, most women just rolls over and goes to sleep fantasizing about the man she really wants to be with.

Once a man loses a woman’s respect he can’t take it back. In the eyes of that woman he’s forever tarnished.

And guys who women pity are often seen as second best on the first glance.

And no man wants to be seen as a woman’s second best. But that’s the default position of any guy who plays the pity game.

So if you’re shy, make the best first impression possible. Muster up the confidence to go talk to the women you like. You may not get the number. But they’ll respect your effort. And that respect will go a long way in the future.

Fellas, women want confidence in a man above all else. A man who is secure in himself is someone they’ll respect. Someone they’ll admire. Once a woman earns a man’s respect she’ll want to spend time with him. And if she learns to respect him, she’ll follow his lead in a relationship.
