I believe he is talking about the Blade movies at the time they came out. Back then, you had Spawn and Batman & Robin, both movies performed poorly, so you were looking for a superhero movie that would do well and prove that such movies could be profitable.
So you're saying that the Blade films are the only decent live-action comic book films out there?
